Minutes

  • We reviewed the budget
  • Could we spend more money on more aides??
  • Could we assess which software programs are used and how frequently and which are seen to be effective by teachers?
  • Can we spend more on books in vending machine?
  • Could we add more books to the leveled library?
  • Becca moved that we approve up to $3000 to replenish the vending machine as needed, with the stipulation that the student criteria be tweaked to be more personal - especially thinking of struggling readers. All attendees were in favor.
  • Could we purchase headphones for all grade levels?
  • There is a small budget for Calming Corner.
  • ½ day paid for Acadience assessing worked well.  This will be the plan moving forward.
  • We looked at Acadience data - math data not finished yet.  Percentage of students above benchmark in reading went down 2%.  Teams had a data dive last week to make a plan to intervene/remediate.
  • Any ideas on SIP goal change?
    • Looking at a specific amount of time each day for students to read with no strings attached.  Put as part of an action plan under an SIP reading goal
  • STEM designation is up.  Application is due in October of 2025. The question was asked…are we moving forward with that?  YES
